Ringtone has been accused of stealing lyrics and tune belonging to A single by Sagero A kisii based musician.
Sagero claims Ringtone’s song muziki ni dawa was originally his song and Ringtone only changed it into a Swahili tune in his now popular single.
Ringtone defended himself by saying: “I would like Kenyans to know that even if the songs have a similar title, I wrote mine from the Bible story of David and Saul. I don’t know where he got his inspiration from,”
“Why is he going around spreading lies that I stole his song? I have never even heard what he sings in the first place,” Ringtone charged.
