Four suspects are in police custody
over the twin blast that rocked
buses on Thika Road, Nairobi, on
Sunday
Nairobi County police commander
Benson Kibue has said that the
four suspects have been “positively
identified” and are in police
custody waiting court appearance.
Mr Kibue also said that the police
will continue to take stern action
against matatu crew who failed to
frisk their passengers adding that
even the bus owners would face
charges over negligence.
He said protests this morning at
the Thika Superhighway over the
drivers who were charged in court
Tuesday was unnecessary as police
would continue reining in errant
operators.
Mr Kibue was speaking at the
Kilimani police station where he
received a reconditioned police
vehicle from the Lang'ata MP
Joash Olum.
