Kenya: Battle for a share of the low- end alcohol market is set to go a notch higher. This follows plan by Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) to introduce a low-priced brand in the market, to counter illicit brews. While there is a ban on spirits sold in sachets, most of these brands have surfaced in rural areas where business is booming.

Kabogo's son | Alvis kabogo

Kiambu County Governor William
Kabogo’s son is not shy about his
dad’s riches.
Alvin Kabogo ‘Junior’ a student at
University of Brighton in England
has been posting his expensive
lifestyle on Instagram. The videos
and photos are enough to launch
Kenya’s first ever ‘rich kids’ reality
show!
One of the posts is a screen shot of
Alvin having a conversation about a
Sh600,000 Dubai holiday getaway.
“Dubai sounds like a plan yallah tell
daddy “moneybags” to get you a
ticket lol @kabogojnr,” it reads.
On another post, the fun loving
Alvin poses with his father and the
President Uhuru Kenyatta in Kiambu.
The caption reads:
“On the grounds of Kiambu County
with papa and His Excellency The
President... #throwback #teamTNA
#exchangagram #instagood.”
Heads up snooped further and
bumped into a photo of Alvin and
his Caucasian girlfriend Elena. In
one video, the couple, rumoured to
have dated for the past six months,
are smoking and choking on
sheesha!
Alvin describes the woman as the
‘most beautiful gift ever’.
In other posts, he is sipping
expensive drinks with his white
friends.
The University of Brighton is a
thriving, multi campus university on
the South Coast of England. Being a
student outside the European Union
could only mean that Alvin, has to
pay ‘international’ tuition fees for
degree courses. His fees is
approximately Sh13 million per year!

Never give up!! Its real

Suicide isn't the easy way out as
many people think. It doesn't mean
that you're weak if you commit
suicide. There's nothing even
remotely easy about suicide.
Do you really think that it is so easy
to fight every natural instinct in your
body that tells you to survive?
Do you really think it's east to come
to the decision that ultimately, it
would be better if you were dead?
Better for you, your friends and
family?
When you're suicidal you consider
everything. You consider what would
bring your loved ones pain. That's
why you hold off for so long. Because
you can't hurt the ones you care
about the most. That's why you try
as hard as you can.
But sometimes you really want to
end all this. The suffering and the
pain.
Suicide doesn't happen for
something stupid. People who
commit suicide just because they're
having a bad day or just because
their boyfriend / girlfriend dumped
them, are stupid.
Suicide is because everything is
overwhelming. It's because you lost
all hope and you can't see any light
in your life anymore. It's when your
vision is surrounded by the
darkness.
There are people who dare to do it...
They jump from a building or in
front of a train... Some of them cut
or hang.
What am I trying to say all this
time? I'm trying to ask just a simple
thing... Why? How does that even
help in the slightest? How does
hurting yourself help?
You're only acting? No? You're
bringing more pain to yourself!!
Listen to me...
There's so much more in this life
than what you're feeling now. All
you have to do, is to stay strong for
just a little bit more. Eventually,
you'll make it through.
How do I know? I've seen many
people going through that... I've had
many friends suffering from that.
Me, myself, I'm still going through
that. We all get low at times, and we
really wish to die...
But listen to me. It's not worth it.
Happiness is not away. You'll never
be truly alone and you'll never be
sad forever. I know that for a fact.
That doesn't mean that you won't
have bad days. We all have bad
days. And I don't think that will ever
change. It's how life works. We get
hurt to get stronger. No one ever
said that life is easy. But indeed life
is meant to be lived. We are going
through a lot and yet still, there is
so much more to come. But you have
to stay strong. You have to keep
fighting. If you are strong enough to
contemplate suicide, you sure are
strong enough to fight on.
You're not alone in this. You'll never
be. We stand together and we fight
together.
Instead of taking the blade every
time you're feeling low, take a
pillow. Shove your face into the
pillow and cry. Cry until you have no
more tears. Why? Because crying
helps. Many people say that crying
proves you're weak. They're wrong.
Crying doesn't mean you're weak, it
means you were strong for too long.
And now it's finally the time to let
go of that. To give in your fears and
fight! You don't have to keep it
inside you anymore. You can open
your eyes now. You can wipe away
your tears. It's over.
You won this battle. Smile. You did
it. You're strong. Now stay that way.
Don't you ever give up.
Don't you ever lose hope. Keep on
looking forward because better days
are coming. One day, you'll look
back on these days and you'll laugh.
I promise you that things will get
better. Whenever that's sooner or
later. You just have to believe it.
Don't think too much...
Thinking is stealing your happiness.
Be happy. Do whatever you want.
Enjoy your life. Don't you ever give
up. Never. We stand together till the
end of the line.
Thank you for reading all this. I
really pray that it helped you.
Have a beautiful day and keep on
smiling.
Better days are coming. I promise.

Willy M.Tuva, "I saw her naked"!!!

I first came to Nairobi just after the
1998 bomb blast. I lighted at South
B where I spent the night having
travelled from Mombasa at night.
I visited the city centre the next day
but had to cut short my business
since I met people walking so fast
and thought there was a
demonstration.
With all the stories I had heard
about tear gas, being roughed up by
riot police or even robbed off in the
process, I was really scared.
I was not taking chances and so I
hopped into the next matatu and
headed back to home.
I was looking forward for the 7pm
news to hear what the
demonstrations were all about.
But alas! I later learnt everyone in
Nairobi is always in a hurry.
In my first few days as a Nairobian, I
also learnt that it was almost a
‘crime’ to say ‘hi’ to random people
in the streets. People would stare at
me as if I was going to steal from
them. My polite gesture was only
earning me uneasy stares.
The Nairobi thieves who had the
guts to steal in broad daylight also
shocked me. I could not understand
how one could steal a vehicle’s side
mirror in broad daylight.
Women in Nairobi were also a sight
to behold. How one could walk half
naked while no one seemed to care.
To make the matters worse, it was
freezing outside!
I also suffered language barrier and
culture shock. The most amazing bit
was how one could comfortably say:
“Hizi maji ni zangu” (This water
belongs to me). To-date I am yet to
pronounce ‘bad’ Swahili or even
speak in sheng.

Ciku Muiruri’s Blonde Facebook Post Leaves Her in Trouble With Fans

Ciku Muiruri is no stranger to controversy, especially as a result of her Facebook posts. She once caused quite a storm after posting a photo of herself in a swim suit. This time, she is making headlines for another controversial deed, or rather statement. Writing on Facebook on Tuesday, Ciku appeared to make a mockery of the security search at the Junction mall.
My car bonnet was just searched at Junction. Si they also check underneath the car and under the seats then? NKT! What would they do if they found a rifle? Beat me with a baton?
Many of those who commented were not amused. One Kagwiria Riungu wrote,”Seriously ciku after what has been happening in the country you can afford to complain about getting checked!!!!”
Here are some of the other comments.
King’s Kairu - if u complain about tha bonnet what if they told u to step out for that?truth is they r less equiped n trained.no one cn nvr b perfect in security bt they only try to instil fear thus if guilty most wil get nervous
Anne Maitai - So you don’t want them to search YOUR car bonnet, or all cars?? Human beings are a menace to themselves….
Aileen K. Mutegi - Can you just appreciate any little thing being done for security reasons and since you are a public figure give ideas and criticize positively not sarcastically. Do you know how risky that job is? That askari is likely to be the first casualty incase of a rifle or bomb so lets be supportive of these searches and for those who are heard like you, give suggestions not mockery!!!!!
Meshack Bingi Makhisa - how I wosh upatikane in the mix na those terrorists.you will appreciate the work of those poor soldiers unadharau.stupid girl
Lawrence Maina - They should have Alcoblowed you too, you sound drunk.
Beatie Mso Steve - Ciku u should be ur fans role model. Let security people do their job and hopefully they get the culprits in time. Just sit n think of many whom we’ve lost thro terrorism. Little as it may seem can save lives.
Peter Peter - I have admired you for a very long time…but you shouldn’t talk of the security guards in a negative way. Those men and women screening you are parents somewhere just like you and are not guards by choice
Norah Mwende - Ciku, are you complaining??????????? Kenyans cannot be helped!! nkt

5 Male Celebs Who Are Not Ashamed to Wear Skirts in Public

It all started back in 2011 when we saw Kanye do his entire set from the “Watch The Throne” tour in a leather skirt. Since then local celebs started to look into this new fad.

If you’ve been paying close attention to some of your favorite male celebrities in fashion for the past year, you have seen men wearing kilts (skirts) which, we think, are slowly becoming part of the “norm.”
While some of you may argue that some of these celebs are wearing kilts and not skirts, your argument won’t hold water; if you are not Scottish and it’s not for some sort of Scottish festival, wearing a kilt on stage while performing or at an awards show pretty much just counts as wearing a skirt.
So, after showing you how Chimano’s leather skirt and leggings, to boot, stood out during the exciting edition of “ROAD TO MAMA” in Tanzania last week, it’s only fair to refresh your mind with other celebs who rock it like a girl.
Check them out;

Stella ‘owns’ everything she wears. Whether she is rocking cascading locks, blonde hair, a headscarf or red hair Stella Mwangi always ‘brings it’!

The ‘Koolio’ rapper this time made a drastic fashion change and chose purple hair just like Kenya’s fully blossomed pop diva Victoria Kimani.
It’s an unusual color to wear on your head but Stella Mwangi is willing to take that fashion risk.

This Drug Prevents HIV Infection; Research Reveals

Medics now have additional
ammunition in their war chest
against HIV/AIDS and a potent
one it is. The American Food
and Drug Administration (FDA)
recently approved a drug
treatment that will prevent HIV
infection in previously
uninfected people.
The drug which is marketed as
Truvada, had already been
approved for the treatment of
HIV in infected persons. It
works by lowering the amount
of virus circulating in people’s
blood. Clinical trials conducted
showed that it can also protect
uninfected high-risk (both
homo and hetero-sexual)
people from acquiring the
virus, if they take the drug
daily before and after sexual
exposure.
Some public health experts
argue that allowing the drug to
be used for prevention will
foster a false sense of security
among users, leading people to
believe mistakenly that they
are immune to the virus and
reduce their use of condoms.
However, the FDA determined
that the benefits of expanding
the pool of people who may use
Truvada to protect against HIV
made it worth approving.
Here’s what you need to know.

Who can take Truvada?
The drug, made by Gilead
Sciences Inc., is approved for
healthy, uninfected people who
are at high risk of contracting
HIV through sex. These include
sex workers and people with
partners who are HIV-positive
or engage in high-risk
behaviors, such as using IV
drugs.
How effective is the drug in
preventing HIV?
In one study, healthy gay and
bisexual men who took Truvada
daily and were counseled about
safe sex practices lowered their
risk of becoming infected by up
to 42%. In another study
involving heterosexual couples
in which one partner was HIV-
positive, the uninfected partner
had a 75% lower risk of
contracting HIV if they took
Truvada.
Does Truvada cure AIDS?
No. The drug can treat people
who are infected with HIV by
lowering the amount of virus in
their bodies and slowing down
the progression of the disease.
In healthy, uninfected people,
the drug can thwart HIV’s
ability to take hold in healthy
cells and start an infection, by
blocking the activity of an
enzyme that the virus needs to
replicate.
Why is the approval
important?
Approving a drug to prevent
HIV marks a big step toward
controlling the spread of HIV
and AIDS worldwideaBOUT
tRUVADA. Once Truvada is used
as a preventive measure
domestically, U.S.-backed AIDS
programs in the developing
world may also begin to roll out
the pill for healthy people who
are at high risk of contracting
HIV. Public health experts are
eager to build up all effective
prevention strategies, noting
that the only way to stop the
epidemic is by preventing new
infections as well as treating
existing ones.

Do you feel as though you are invisible and taken for granted? WORK IT OUT

When you speak all the time,
people tend to switch off and
ignore what you are saying. You are
considered a noisemaker and
loudmouth who is not quite taken
seriously.

Do you feel as though you are
invisible and taken for granted?
Do you sometimes find yourself
stagnating and feel as if you are
going nowhere fast in all areas of
your life? It may be time to
regroup and think about how to up
your game.

Some of the most practical ways to
do this include making subtle
changes to your etiquette. These
ways do not cost a penny and may
be implemented almost overnight.
They do not involve any
psychoanalysis and other long and
drawn out methods. Here are
some ways to help transform you
from mediocre to sought-after star.
1. Stop talking too much: When
you speak all the time, people
tend to switch off and ignore
what you are saying. You are
considered a noisemaker and
loudmouth who is not quite
taken seriously. Maybe some of
the things you say are
ridiculous, or perhaps you take
jokes too far, especially when
you have had one too many to
drink.
2. Become unavailable : Rare
commodities acquire greater
value. If you are always around
when people call you or need
you, it is easy for you to be
taken for granted. Maybe you
are too eager to please others
and find yourself being
misused as an odd-job person.
This sort of reputation makes
people think you are a
doormat. Try making yourself
scarce for a while and see how
reactions start changing.
3. Change your demeanor: If
you always show up with
overly humble and apologetic
gestures and puppy dog eyes,
people may devalue you. This
especially applies to women
who desperately want to get
into a relationship. The minute
you show a little bit of attitude,
you become a challenge to
other people and they start
becoming more respectful of
you.
4. Learn to intimidate: There are
times when people ought to
fear you, and not think that you
are simply too nice all the
time. It starts with your
dressing: wear a black skirt,
black heels and stockings and a
matching top. Maintain a
straight, no-nonsense face and
steady eye contact. Smile only
when necessary and use as few
words in low tones as possible
to communicate. You will be
surprised at the reaction of
others, as they are taken aback
5. Do a disappearing act for a
while : The old saying that
“familiarity breeds contempt”
could imply that if you are
around certain people, all the
time, it is possible to become
contemptuous to them. If you
sense that your presence has
become too much, it is time to
do a disappearing act. Leave
town to undertake some
studies, or if you can afford it,
travel to another country.
While you are away, resist the
temptation to call or
communicate frequently. When
you return, you will most likely
be received with fresh eyes.
6. Be an enigma: Increase your
personal ratings by being
mysterious. Allow people to
ponder about you. You can do
this by minimising self-
disclosure.

How This One Trick Could Transform Your Body

Reading about sports these days, we
are constantly bombarded with news
of top notch athletes being exposed
for using illegal steroids.
Steroid use involves huge costs,
legal issues, and above all, potential
health problems. With such risks,
you wonder why anyone would be
tempted to go this route.
Fortunately, steroid use may
eventually be a thing of the past.
That’s because medical researchers
studying how the human body
builds muscle and endurance are
developing safe and legal substances
which can increase the body's ability
to build muscle, without the health
risks associated with steroids.
One of the most interesting fields of
research surrounds a naturally
occurring chemical compound called
nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is a
vasodilator, which means it helps
move oxygen to the muscles when
they need it most. Increased nitric
oxide in the blood stream signals
the blood vessel walls to relax, which
allows more blood to flow to the
body's muscles, thus delivering more
oxygen and nutrients throughout the
body.
It’s been shown to lead to:
Drastic Muscle Gains
Increased Blood Flow and Oxygen
Delivery
Boosted Strength, Endurance, and
Power
Support for Your Immune System
Immediate Results
Total Body Transformation
While the body naturally increases
nitric oxide during workouts, it’s
only a limited amount and
researchers have been focused on
artificially increasing your nitric
oxide levels.
One of the most successful products
that has emerged from this research
is called Factor 2 . It uses
"arginines," special amino acids
specifically linked to nitric oxide
production to significantly increase
oxygen and nutrient flow to the
muscles during workouts. As a
result, it can safely spark powerful
muscle growth, muscle definition,
and strength.
Factor 2 produces noticeable results
by maximizing your muscle gains as
you power through your workouts
and within a few weeks, users are
starting to notice additional muscle
definition and strength.
Factor 2 is now the recognized
leader in nitric oxide stimulation
and legal, safe muscle and strength
enhancement.

5 Weird Reasons You’re Still Broke & How to Fix Them… Kusota nayo....

I’m sorry to say that I’ve always felt like most of the personal finance advice on the internet seems to be lacking in reality.
I love people like
Suze Orman and
Dave Ramsey, but
the idea that
cutting out
Starbucks from my
budget is going to
magically make me a millionaire is
ridiculous. When I was rolling
pennies to pay my rent, you can bet
your ass I wasn’t thinking about
Starbucks.
I’ve since fixed my broken budget
and I’m well on my way to saving for
a prosperous retirement, but I
didn’t get there with
the normal financial advice
out there. Here are the 5 weird
reasons I was broke and how you can
keep from making the same
mistake…

1. Your Money is Too Accessible
There was a time when I sucked at
managing money so much that I had
to hide my savings from myself.
How’s that for will power?
And I know I’m not alone here.
I had a decent job, but it seemed
that every time I would get a little
extra in my checking account, I’d
promptly buy something ridiculous.
(“Why, yes I do need to order that
“Perfect Bacon Bowl” contraption I
saw on last night’s infomercial” or “I
guess I should go ahead and buy
these jeans. The sale ends on
Sunday, after all” ). Ridiculous.

2. You’re Working Too
Many Jobs
I know a lot of our readers are
working 2 or 3 jobs and still aren’t
able to make ends meet. You’re not
alone.
Instead of focusing on how to find a
4th or 5th job, start thinking about
ways to boost income
passively. Income that doesn’t
require you to work a ton of
additional hours.
Obviously most types of passive
income require you to have a
huge investment, but there are also
little things you can do to make
money.

3. You’ve Cut Up Your
Credit Cards or Frozen

Kenyan women are DIRTY & smell like TOILET .. CAROLINE MUTOKO says.

Kiss
100’s Caroline Mutoko is now
advising Kenyan women to
observe hygiene since most of
them smell like toilets.
Speaking on her morning
breakfast show, the no-nonsense
radio presenter claimed that most
of Kenyan women don’t even
wash their hair causing
discomfort to men especially in
matatus.
“Women, pull up your socks and
observe hygiene since you are
causing discomfort to men. How do
you keep your hair for one week
without washing it? Yuck.” She
added.
Caroline told those women who
are not able to maintain their
weaves to shave their hair instead
of embarrassing themselves with
pathetic hair.
“Some women are even developing
worms in their hair due to poor
hygiene. Do something Kenyan
women.” She added.
Men, do you support Caroline
Mutoko’s sentiments that most of
Kenyan women are dirty?
