KBL to introduce a low-priced brand in the market, to counter illicit brews.

Kenya: Battle for a share of the low- end alcohol market is set to go a notch higher. This follows plan by Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) to introduce a low-priced brand in the market, to counter illicit brews. While there is a ban on spirits sold in sachets, most of these brands have surfaced in rural areas where business is booming.

Hussein Machozi Mombasa politicians wife

Mombasa, Kenya: The late evening
Monday news, that controversial
Tanzanian artiste Hussein Machozi
had been caught pants down with a
Mombasa politician’s wife spread
like bush fire. From Kenya to
Bongoland, the showbiz arena was
all abuzz.
Hours before the rumour broke on
social media, a little bird called
Pulse, hitching to spill the gossip.
“Have you heard the big one,” our
informer charged.
“Hussein Machozi... he is in
trouble,” the snitch went on before
starting to spill the juice he had
overheard.

Hussein Machozi
Even though the news could not be
confirmed as Hussein Machozi had
reportedly been ‘deported’ back to
Tanzania and his phone went
unanswered, in another hour, a top
Mombasa blog posted the piece
blaring it with this long catchy
headline:
“MSANII HUSSEIN MACHOZI APOKEA
KICHAPO CHA MBWA NA KUPEWA
MASAA 24 KUONDOKA HAPA NCHINI
KENYA”. It sounded astonishing, so
damning like a fellow caught doing
drugs in Singapore.
“Msanii huyu mashuhuri wa bongo
flavor leo hii katika hoteli flani ya
kitalii hapa jijini Mombasa alijipata
matatani baada ya kupatikana akiwa
na mke wa kiongozi flani mashuhuri
wa hapa nchini. Yasemekana
mheshimiwa huyu amekua akimkulia
timing Machozi bila mafanikio lakini
leo siku arobaini zilitimia kwake
msanii huyu mkosa adabu,” read the
Blackstar Entertainment update
whose Facebook link had been
copied to the Pulse editor. In a
nutshell, the writer was insinuating
that Machozi had been having a
secret affair with a top politician’s
wife and after learning of it, the
politician had been tracking the two
all along until this day when he
‘caught them’.
“Msanii huyu alipatikana red handed
na mke wa kiongozi huyo kwa kitanda
na hapo ndipo masaibu yakamkumba
na kuamrishwa aondoke hapa nchini
kwa masaa aliopewa,” the dossier
concluded and so with an
exclamation: “Je, wewe kama shabiki
wake wamshauri vipi?”
Some Facebook responses were as
hilarious as the reports. One Job
Chilibasi reasoned that the news
would not stop a steamy affair as
‘watakutana huko bongo’ while Pettie
Nashipai added that ‘utamu wa
maisha, kipendacho roho
dawa...ashapata Hussein, ashapata
yake mbona mwamgeuzia?”
What more to add ...for that is this
week’s dispatch from the Coast!

Yemi Alade: Nigeria music stagnating?? Read here

Yemi Alade
She is popularly referred to as the
ghen ghen babe. Others call her the
Yoruba-ibo girl. She poses charming
beauty few can resist and that
combined with her electrifying stage
craft, Yemi Alade, the new talk-about
Nigerian singer stands tall as
Africa’s next big thing.
Her music is edgy and her unique
style evolving around an African
theme gives her an edge above all.
Her bi-tribal descent completes her
winning formula.
With her latest release Johnny
dominating music charts across
Africa besides turning into a club hit
in urban Kenya, the rather sassy but
humble 1989 born has her career
firmly focused, and here she comes
to Nairobi, with such a demand from
fans building and so, with
determination to prove that the buzz
is not just a fluke.
Local fans do like Yemi’s new hit,
Johnny but very little is known
about this fresh music dynamite.
“I begun making music
professionally in 2005 when I was
the lead of a girl group called Noty
Spices. Afterwards, I entered the
Peak Talent Show in 2009 and went
on to win the competition. That is
how it all started,” she reveals.
“It was after this when a released
my debut single Fimisile, featuring
eLDee and the song became a radio
hit. That introduced me to my fans
and since, I have never looked back,”
the gorgeous talented star remarks.
The young star — who grew up
listening to popular music of the
late eighties and early nineties by
singers like Mariah Carey, Whitney
Houston, Etta James and Aretha
Franklin — earned the, that Yoruba-
Ibo girl moniker as her mother is a
native of South-Eastern Nigeria and
her father is of South-Western
descent.
“I am the fifth of seven siblings; four
brothers and two sisters. I have
practically lived my life on stage,”
the University of Lagos Bachelor in
Science degree holder notes.
Her professional music career took
off on a high after she signed a deal
with Effyzzie Music Group in 2012. It
was here where she started working
with hit producers DJ Klem, D’tunes,
E-Kelly, Sizzle Pro, Fliptyce and
renowned South African producer
Garth.
“My single Ghen Ghen Love was
received well, topping numerous
radio and video charts,” Yemi notes
adding that she has since done
massive collaborations with Ice
Prince and Sasha P, both celebrated
Nigerian stars.
“I have since shared the stage with
top artistes from across the globe,”
she says.
After releasing the music video for
Johnny in March this year, the video
received critical acclaim gaining over
800,000 YouTube views in two
months.
The single has since become a
continental anthem gaining her a
massive following in Kenya, Tanzania,
Ghana, South Africa, Liberia, Uganda
and Zimbabwe.
“My new single is titled Tangerine
and it features Selebobo. It is
quickly gaining momentum across
Africa and I am happy with the way
fans have accepted and embraced
me.

Was LiIlian Muli Flirting with Konshens on Live TV? The Jamaican Dancehall Sensation Finally Responds

Sometime in April, Jamaican Dancehall artiste, Konshens, was in town ahead of his Guinness Evolution concert. But before that, he had a round of interviews to do on Kenyan TVs. Among those, Citizen TV.
So on the Friday before his concert, Konshens made a stop on Lilian Muli’s “One-on-One” show and somehow didn’t feel the interview at all and even felt that the sexy TV host came out as too flirtatious. It didn’t end there as the ‘KOT army’ unleashed a myriad of insolent memes and tweets towards the TV host.
And now more than a month after the untoward incident, Konshens has finally opened up about what he felt about the interview.
According to Konshens, he didn’t see anything wrong from the April 11th interview and wondered why KOT thought Lilian was flirty.
“Why were they going so hard saying she was flirty!!, I thought she did really well…relaxed vibe,” said Konshens in tweet to Citizen TV.

Ringtone Accused Of Stealing Lyrics

Ringtone has been accused of stealing lyrics and tune belonging to A single by Sagero A kisii based musician.

Sagero claims Ringtone’s song muziki ni dawa was originally his song and Ringtone only changed it into a Swahili tune in his now popular single.
Ringtone defended himself by saying: “I would like Kenyans to know that even if the songs have a similar title, I wrote mine from the Bible story of David and Saul. I don’t know where he got his inspiration from,”
“Why is he going around spreading lies that I stole his song? I have never even heard what he sings in the first place,” Ringtone charged.

5 Male Celebs Who Are Not Ashamed to Wear Skirts in Public

It all started back in 2011 when we saw Kanye do his entire set from the “Watch The Throne” tour in a leather skirt. Since then local celebs started to look into this new fad.

If you’ve been paying close attention to some of your favorite male celebrities in fashion for the past year, you have seen men wearing kilts (skirts) which, we think, are slowly becoming part of the “norm.”
While some of you may argue that some of these celebs are wearing kilts and not skirts, your argument won’t hold water; if you are not Scottish and it’s not for some sort of Scottish festival, wearing a kilt on stage while performing or at an awards show pretty much just counts as wearing a skirt.
So, after showing you how Chimano’s leather skirt and leggings, to boot, stood out during the exciting edition of “ROAD TO MAMA” in Tanzania last week, it’s only fair to refresh your mind with other celebs who rock it like a girl.
Check them out;

It’s an unusual color to wear on your head but Stella Mwangi is willing to take that fashion risk.

KIAMBU SENATOR RAPED ME: BROKE MY P*SSY N POURED INSYD3!!!

Kiambu Senator fired me after he
raped me, says former househelp
Updated Friday, May 16th 2014

I will never forget July 8, 2006. It
was my third day at work as a
househelp in the Wamatangi
household. I can recall the exact
time, 1.30pm, because I wanted
to watch a programme on
television. My boss Wamatangi
came home and found his wife
with me in the sitting room.
He started quarrelling her,
demanding to know why she
didn’t go to work. I quickly
stepped out of the sitting room
and went to the kitchen. I could
hear them quarrel in English. I
could gather that mzee was not
happy. After five minutes, madam
left for work, and I was left in the
house with Wamatangi.
He then summoned me into the
living room and asked me to bring
him tea.
He asked me to sit down and
chat. I politely refused and told
him I prefer black tea since I
didn’t like milk. That was the
moment he pulled me next to him
and pushed me onto the sofa.
I started screaming and he
slapped me on the face. He then
used his hand to cover my mouth.
I think my screams must have
attracted the neighbour next door
because I heard someone knock
on the door, but they soon left.
He forcefully removed my panty
and forced himself on me. I cried
bitterly. I had never had sex. I
was a virgin. I was saved and a
staunch church member.
I don’t know how long it lasted,
but I just lay there, in pain, and
too shocked to move.
When he finished, he dragged me
to my feet and ordered me to
wash myself. I showered as he
stood by the door, looking at me,
only wearing his shirt and socks.
He warned me not to reveal what
happened to anybody. He said he
would call the police and tell
them to lock me up if I dared.
How was I to know that one
should never shower after a rape
ordeal? I dropped out of school in
class eight for lack of school fees.
My father died when I was very
young, and my mother is a
peasant farmer.
Wamatangi is a millionaire, the
richest man in my village, and has
connections with ‘big’ people. I
was too scared.
Too scared to talk
I took my shame, and hid in the
bedroom where I stayed until
madam came in the evening. I
didn’t tell madam since mzee was
also around, and I was afraid of
him.
The next day, I went and told our
neighbour, who invited madam
and told her. Madam was not
shocked. She told me there was
nothing she could do, and that
her hands were ‘tied’. The
neighbour convinced madam to
tell mzee to take me to hospital
‘ili nisafishwe.’
It took madam three days to
gather courage to ask her
husband to take me to hospital.
He agreed but when we reached
Nairobi Women’s Hospital gate, he
told us to get out of his car and
threw Sh1,200 on the ground,
warning me to never step in his
house again. He fired me right
outside the hospital gate and
sped off. After one week, my
greatest fear was confirmed. I had
missed my periods.
On April 23, 2007, I gave birth to
a baby girl at Nazareth Hospital.
It was when the baby was two
months old, that Wamatangi came
to see his daughter.
He gave me Sh7,000. He never
came to see the child again, or
offer any financial support. I went
to the children’s office at Nyayo
House where they wrote a letter to
him. After two weeks, I went back.
The gentleman at the children’s
welfare office in Nyayo House told
me they could not help me. I
didn’t lose hope and mid July
2007, I went to Fida (Federation of
Women Lawyers – Kenya). They
wrote a letter, which was delivered
to Wamatangi.
In August, I went back to Fida
and the director (she died a few
weeks back after thugs attacked
her and raped her two daughters)
told me pointblank that she could
do nothing. She then took my
papers and tore them into pieces.
She told me, “Lazima uongee
mzuri na mzee. Hakuna kitu
unaweza mfanyia (You have to be
polite with the old man. You can
do nothing to him).”
Towards the end of 2007,
Wamatangi was running for a
parliamentary seat. He came
home to my mother, and gave her
Sh20,000 promising to cater for
his daughter’s upkeep.
But he lost the elections.
Allowed me in his bazaar
He again went silent and in May
2008, I decided to visit his office
near Nyayo Stadium where he has
a car bazaar. He kept me waiting
the whole day then around 3pm,
called me to the conference room.
See Also: Senator Wamatangi
abandoned our child: Former
househelp
He summoned all his employees
and warned them to never allow
me near his office.
He threatened to fire anyone who
allowed me to his bazaar. He
hurled abuses at me as his
employees watched. I started
crying and he dragged me out
and threw me out the gate. I was
carrying my daughter who was
also crying. One employee was
touched and gave me bus fare.

Kiss

of Kenyan women don’t even

discomfort to men especially in

“Women, pull up your socks and
observe hygiene since you are
causing discomfort to men. How do
you keep your hair for one week
without washing it? Yuck.” She
added.
Caroline told those women who
are not able to maintain their
weaves to shave their hair instead
of embarrassing themselves with
pathetic hair.

SHOCKING!! Prophet DAVID OWOUR sacrificed his FATHER in 2005 …..Other Facts about Prophet Owuor

Below are 8 facts you barely
knew about Prophet Dr. Owour;

1. He stage-manages his alleged
miracles through the power of
Satan.
2. His teachings are infact post-
Christian. Meaning, he exalts
himself above God Himself, thus
creating a religion different from
Christianity, where he is the god.
3. No true prophet had ever
amassed wealth the way he does.
Moreover, no true prophet engages
in power-fights the way does with
other men and women of God like
bishop Wanjiru.
4. He is used by Illuminati to
prophecy the works of Illuminati.
He infact has a symbol of
illuminati in his website
5. His allegation that Raila had
converted to christianity was just
an attempt to gain Raila more
followers.
6. In most of his crusades, at least
2 people die.
7. He refused to bury his father
upon his death in 2005, because he
had sacrificed him.
8. True prophets prophecy the
negative and positive things, since
God always shows compassion to
people. Owuor is a prophet of
doom since he only prophecies
negative things that dont have
compassions of God.

Is Vera Sidika Mudavadi's Cut3y?!? - Toboa siri

Video vixen and socialite Vera Sidika
has courted controversy ever since
she appeared on P-Unit’s You Guy
video.
Last year, Vera was said to be having
an affair with UDF party leader and
former presidential aspirant Musalia
Mudavadi.
According to reports posted online,
Vera was even running Mudavadi’s
social media pages during his
campaign.
A year later, Vera has spoken out
denying these allegations.
“That is ridiculous. I have never met
him (Mudavadi) in person. The
closest I have come to him was just
studying at a school named after his
deceased father Moses Mudavadi,”
Vera said.

Kenya’s first ever ‘rich kids’ reality

One of the posts is a screen shot of
Alvin having a conversation about a
Sh600,000 Dubai holiday getaway.
“Dubai sounds like a plan yallah tell
daddy “moneybags” to get you a

On another post, the fun loving
Alvin poses with his father and the
President Uhuru Kenyatta in Kiambu.
The caption reads:

Jaguar behaves badly at wedding

Last weekend saw top producer and
C.E.O at Grandpa Records Mr.
Refigah get married the love of his
life Mahadia Omar. As is tradition,
the wedding ran for three days and
attracted top showbiz players all of
who wanted to be part of this
celebration.
In the list of show stoppers was
Jaguar, famous for the hit song
Kigeugeu who snubbed the
Kilimanjaro Awards in Tanzania, and
instead showed up at this wedding.
Jaguar who is known to attract
attention and fans can never really
get enough of him showed up at the
wedding and decided to go sit at the
high table which had been
specifically reserved for family.
Seeing as this was not according to
plan, the event organizer, calmly
asked him to join the other guest in
the open sitting area but Jaguar
could not take any of that.
Instead he opted to leave the event
in huff causing commotion as some
of his excited fans left the wedding
and followed him out, only to come
back later.

Kenyan comedian suspected to be losing his mind

he post on Facebook by Esther
Kahuha, an actor formerly of Wingu
La Moto caught our attention.
“I want to believe that everyone flips
at one time and behave funny but
do we post that you have gone
nuts…”
Esther is also a former actor with
Ayeiyaa Poa Poa at Heartstrings and
she was tellingly commenting on
Ayeiyaa’s mental situation after
reports that he had become mentally
unsound.
Whatever the case, a visit to the
comedian’s Facebook page revealed
nothing out of the ordinary besides
post after post with reference to
God, salvation and repentance giving
off an indication that he may be a
recent convert.
Making his TV debut on the
Churchill show, the Heartstrings
actor soon became a household
favourite marked by his hooks, funny
jokes, briefcase prop and the
newsboy cap that became part of his
trademark gear. After a hiatus from
the Churchill show that raised
eyebrows, he termed his break as a
strategy to work on personal
projects.

“Churchill is a great platform but I
want to push my own brand in my
own platform, which will also help
me mentor other guys, which I think
is lacking,” he said sometime early
this year in response to his
prolonged absence from the show.
He maintained a low profile, acting
at the National Theatre and
appearing in comedy nights around
the city, he came under the
spotlight last week but for curious
reasons. The grapevine round town
has it that the talented funny man
has lost his mind and to support
this claim, a video of him ‘preaching’
while seating on the tail gate of a
Pickup at the Rongai Uchumi was
nothing short of shocking. With what
looks like sackcloth round his waist,
one Moha tries to calm the actor
down getting into an embarrassing
feud before the video ends.

“He’s not insane. He is just saved
but to the extreme. But also
something could be off because he
takes mogoka, which may affect him.
I can’t confirm whether he smokes
something but what I know is he
needs help and as friends we will do
that,” MC Jesse lends his opinion
when sought for comment.
An insider and close associate of the
comedian echoed the same
sentiments, stating that he was in
deed acting weird which led to many
people interpreting it as insanity.
“What I know is that he used to
smoke something being a diehard
reggae fan. He loves to chew a lot of
miraa so I am guessing
zimemurarukia (the side effects are
kicking in hard after weed use)”
After he showed signs that raised
concern his colleagues and sister
took him to hospital last week on
Tuesday but AKA was not cooperative
and refused to be tested, claiming
he was OK.
“He is being monitored by several
friends and his sister just in case
something happens because he is
acting strangely perhaps from
depression.
He recently got a wife and child and
his financial situation isn’t good so
that may be contributing to his
stress besides the fact that he says
he is now saved,” a renowned
comedian reveals, while seeking
anonymity.
