KBL to introduce a low-priced brand in the market, to counter illicit brews.

Kenya: Battle for a share of the low- end alcohol market is set to go a notch higher. This follows plan by Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) to introduce a low-priced brand in the market, to counter illicit brews. While there is a ban on spirits sold in sachets, most of these brands have surfaced in rural areas where business is booming.

RAILA AMOLLO ODINGA’s operatives’ plan is nonsense and may never rule Kenya! - MUTAHI NGUNYI

Renowned political analyst,
Mutahi Ngunyi has given his take
on CORD coalition’s call for the
disbandment of the Independent
Electoral and Boundaries
Commission (IEBC) saying this is
all nonsense.
On his twitter account on Tuesday
evening, Mutahi who is famous
for his “Tyranny of Numbers”
hypothesis in last year’s General
Election said CORD’s plan to
disband IEBC is nothing but
political nonsense.

He said the plan is part of the
election run-off that CORD
orphans expected after last year’s
poll where President Uhuru
Kenyatta and his Deputy, William
Ruto, trounced Raila Odinga and
Kalonzo Musyoka with a big
margin.

Here is one of his tweets
Mutahi Ngunyi #Calls to disband
IEBC are nothing but POLITICAL
NONSENSE. This is part of the
election RUN-OFF that Raila did
not HAVE.

CORD coalition has already tabled
a motion in Parliament seeking
the removal of nine IEBC
commissioners who rigged the
March 4th poll.
The nine IEBC commissioners,
according to CORD, allegedly
rigged out Raila Odinga’s outright
victory in favour of Uhuru
Kenyatta and William Ruto.

Big blow to LUO Nyanza as EU plans to ban fish from Lake Victoria over defecation. Kisumu Lakeside

Fish
from Lake Victoria may soon be
locked out of the European Union
(EU) market due to poor hygiene,
despite Sh648 million being
allocated to clean up beaches.
The money which was donated by
the EU was to be used at fish-
landing sites along Lake Victoria
and to educate residents on
dangers of defecating in the lake.
But despite using the huge chunk
of money to educate residents on
cleanliness and good hygiene, the
fish which comes out of the lake
is contaminated.
The EU is the largest consumer of
Kenyan fish and has threatened to
ban exports from Lake Victoria
until hygiene conditions are
improved.
Fish from six beaches, Luanda
Kotieno (Rarieda), Wichlum
(Bondo), Ogal (Kisumu West)
Nyandiwa (Gwassi), Mainuga
(Karachuonyo) and Usenge
(Bondo), may be affected if the
ban is enforced.
This means the region will lose
more than Sh.6.5 billion shillings
which comes from exporting fish
to EU.
The move will also render more
than 50,000 fishermen operating
about 13,000 boats jobless.

Policewoman in skirt saga fears looming transfer

Corporal Linda Okello was published on Sunday Nation newspaper wearing a tight skirt while on official duty at the KCB Kenya national rally championship in Kiambu.
Speaking exclusively to Nairobi News,  Corporal Okello recounted how she was summoned by Kiambu County Commandant James Mugeria on Monday morning and told to give an explanation why her official skirt was tight.
She was also instructed to carry along the skirt for verification on whether it was the official police uniform she was issued.
Throughout the questioning, Corporal Okello insisted that the skirt was her official uniform and that she had gained weight since it was issued.
County Commandant James Mugeria gave her back the skirt after the grilling.
The policewoman now fears she will be transferred to a distant hardship area.
Nairobians started a Twitter campaign to protest against the alleged disciplinary action.
Dubbed #KenyansforLindaOkello and #PoliceUniform, the campaign condemned Corporal Okello’s ‘victimisation’.
Robert Alai tweeted ‘@UKenyatta @IGKimaiyo @JoeLenku Since when the photo appeared on our newspapers, the female police officer has not had peace #PoliceUniform’
He added ‘I thought crime and terrorism was keeping police bosses busy. Why target this poor  officer? @UKenyatta @IGKimaiyo @JoeLenku #PoliceUniform’
The policewoman was pictured to illustrate the security that was beefed up during the national rally championship in Kiambu.

Six terror suspects arrested in Limuru

Police in Limuru arrested six terror suspects during the Rapid Results Initiative (RRI) conducted in the area.
Limuru Deputy County Commissioner Kangethe Thuku said the suspects were handed over to the anti terrorism police unit.
He said the suspects were assisting police with investigations.
He said they also profiled 93 ex-convicts and 97 ex-servicemen through chiefs and village elders in efforts to rein in criminal activities during the RRI exercise that took place in the last 90 days.
He said the ex-convicts and ex-servicemen were being monitored.
Limuru also formed 1630 clusters for Nyumba Kumi initiative to encourage crime identification and information sharing among residents, government officials and the police.
Each assistant chief would be the leader of Nyumba Kumi initiative in his sub-location.
“We have held 140 barazas in different parts of Limuru to make people understand Nyumba Kumi. It is not about the numerical figure, but sharing information on security among people living in one flat, going to one church or operating in one business area,” said Mr Kangethe.
Mr Kangethe gave the Limuru criminal report during a security meeting held at a church in Limuru. Area Deputy OCPD Isaiah Langat, chairmen of community policing groups and chiefs attended the meeting.
During the RRI, 30 litres of chang’aa, 23 litres of muratina, 161 rolls of bhang and 22 kilograms of bhang were netted.
Limuru will receive 37 motorcycles from the government to be issued to chiefs and their assistants to fight crime.

JEFF ANGOTE University of Nairobi students, from right, Thadeus Mwalo (right), Kelvin Obade, and Vian Khaoya at their workshop in Nairobi.

The thought of completing university studies and remaining jobless for years can be daunting. Worse is to imagine being caught in a situation where your guardians start to show signs that they are not able to continue accommodating you.
For three friends and now comrades at the University of Nairobi, such a possibility has long been overtaken by the events they initiated a few years back.
Their bigger concern now is how to keep their business afloat, expand market share, and while at it, earn good grades at the end of their studies.
At only age 23 and still students, the three run a company that presently employs eight people.
It was in March 2013, and with about Sh200,000, that Kelvin Obade, Vian Khaoya, and Thadeus Mwalo, currently in their fourth year and studying electrical engineering, Bachelor of Commerce, and actuarial science respectively, registered a car tracking company and called it Techstation.
“We barely had the capital to start the company, but our self-drive and personal contributions, with a little help from relatives, put us on the path to where we are now,” says Mwalo, the company’s managing director.
Techstation, they say, now has an estimated worth of about Sh10 million.
Their idea of starting the car tracking company was hatched in 2007 after they emerged tops in the Kenya Science Congress — an innovations contest for students — while in Form Three at Friends School Kamusinga in Bungoma County.
The company may have grown fast, but the journey has not always been rosy, the three confess. The directors have had to deal with challenges through sweat and creativity.
“Follow your dreams and believe in yourself,” Khaoya, the company’s head of research and development, advises. “Challenges are there, but one has to overcome them in order to achieve a goal.”
The little funds they had and the desire for independence inspired the three young men to employ the skills learnt in the lecture halls to earn the desirable extra coin. As Obade puts it, theirs is a partnership not only of interest, but also of intelligence.
Pursuing a similar path is Lone Felix, a law student and student leader at Kenyatta University. For him, a desire to instil leadership skills in his colleagues drove him to start ADDO Africa, a foundation that links students with leadership training programmes.
Felix, the initiator of the idea, partnered with six other students at his university to contribute personal resources to set up the foundation. The organisation has since trained 400 club leaders from six universities across the country.
“It is hard to get someone to believe in you and believe for you. We founded ADDO to help young leaders establish their ultimate potential from an early stage,” says Felix.
DEVELOP ENTREPRENEURAL SKILLS
Other than training leaders, ADDO Africa helps develop entrepreneurial skills among students.
“We not only train leaders, but urge the students, through their different clubs, to venture into business and shift their minds from seeking jobs,” Felix continues.
To enable students to get the capital to start businesses, ADDO Africa has partnered with Nestle Equatorial Africa to run a competitive entrepreneurship programme in which university students run small-scale coffee businesses in their respective clubs.
The leaders of the winning club are rewarded with internship programmes in various companies.
Constance Kazungu, 21, is yet another student who is already actively at work through a charitable outfit she formed in 2011. Besides studying actuarial science at the University of Nairobi, she runs Change a Life Kenya.
The organisation, which she started using her loan money from the Higher Education Loans Board and pocket money from her parents, buys medicine and food for disadvantaged children. She also helps pay their school fees.
Kazungu runs the non-profit organisation with a friend from university. She says a persistent urge to help the less fortunate in society motivated them to start the initiative. Presently, the duo supports Good Samaritan children’s home in Nairobi. The organisation also supports internally displaced persons.
Kazungu considers this to be her calling, so she will not have to worry about looking for a job.
“Most people chase jobs for money, while they should do what they love,” she reasons.

POLICE WOMAN WITH MINI SKIRT: 'ASS KAREY'

A certain police woman on
Kiambu road has caught the
public eye, not sure whether its
for a good or bad reason. The
officer in question has her
photos making rounds on the
internet thanks to her tight
skirt.

Apparently the lady cop is
stationed on Kiambu road and
has been raising eyebrows for a
while but the insanity started
when she landed on the papers over the weekend, officially becoming a debate with Kenyans on social media coming up with all kinds of funny phrases to describe her including ‘The security is very TIGHT’ to referring to her as an ‘Ass Karey’.

This coming after the said police reforms which had even stated that female officers will not be allowed to wear make up or any kind of jeweleries have left many with unanswered questions with the crucial one being how well she can perform in her tight skirt.

On the bright side, she has more men willing to be arrested than before. That aside, ndio hizi tu-photos za hizo maburus, awuoooh!!!.

TEARS IN OUR EYES: LOVE TRIANGLE COSTS

Lucky
Summer residents in Ruaraka,
Nairobi County discovered dead
bodies of a man and a woman
suspected to have died on
Thursday evening.
Neigbours in the flat said that
they were alerted by a foul smell
emanating from the house and
knew something was not right.
While speaking to the media, a
neighbour said that they were
concerned after the man went
missing for two days. He was so
talkative and his absence could
easily be noticed.
They broke his door with the
landlord’s permission and found
his body and that of a woman
believed to be his mpango wa
kando. Sources reveal that the
woman and the man were
married with children elsewhere
and they may have disagreed
after enjoying the forbidden fruit.
Police reports indicate that the
man stabbed the woman and then
committed suicide having left a
note explaining reasons behind
his actions.
Investigations are underway to
find out what really happened.

MOURINHO'S WORDS BEFORE THE BATTLE AT ANFIELD!!

Jose Mourinho is hopeful his back-
up goalkeepers will be able to step
into the breach following the injury
to Petr Cech which has
brought his season to a premature
conclusion.
Cech was forced out of our game
against Atletico Madrid in midweek
with a dislocated shoulder, replaced
by Mark Schwarzer after only 18
minutes.
The Australian, our second-choice
keeper, is expected to start the
second leg against Diego Simeone's
side on Wednesday, and the
manager is wary of him picking up
an injury in today's game at
Liverpool, meaning Hilario could be
involved for the first time since
August 2011.
'It's a big dilemma,' said Mourinho.
'Especially with players who are
always looking for penalties and go
for contact with the goalkeeper, it's
even more dangerous.
'I remember when Hilario played
against Barcelona in the Champions
League, he went in goal and he had
to answer, so it's a good thing to
have a second or third keeper with
experience, who goes into the game
ready.'
Mourinho also explained his reasons
for signing Schwarzer at the
beginning of the campaign.
'He's experienced, the number of
matches he's played during his
career, he knows everything about
the goal and the small box,' said the
Blues boss.
'When you are choosing a second
keeper you need to choose someone
who is mentally ready to play at any
moment.'
As well as Cech, Mourinho will also
have to do without the services of
John Terry, Eden Hazard and
Samuel Eto'o for the trip to Anfield,
with all three players currently
injured.
With both Frank Lampard and John
Mikel Obi suspended for the visit of
Atletico, it's certainly a testing time,
but the manager is not looking for
excuses.
'The squad is not thin,' he said.
'How do we avoid this? You can't
avoid it. We can't have a squad of
40 players because we are afraid 15
of them are going to be injured.
'We have injuries, we have two
players - Nemanja Matic and
Mohamed Salah - who are not
eligible to play in the Champions
League. We bought the two players
in January because the future is
more important than the present.
We decided to buy the players we
wanted to buy even if they cannot
play in the Champions League, so we
have two less with them.
'Because of the nature of our
matches, we had to play against
Galatasaray and the second leg
against Paris when we were losing
3-1, we had an accumulation of
yellow cards that leaves us now
without two players.
'You can't control these
circumstances. I cannot have five
goalkeepers because I'm afraid three
of them are going to be injured.'
On the subject of European
suspensions, Mourinho respects the
rules, and believes only UEFA can
make changes to ensure the best
players are able to play in the most
high-profile matches.
'It's for UEFA to decide,' said the
Portuguese. 'Normally you want the
most important matches to be
played with the best players. If the
final is the most important game in
Europe and the semi-final is the
second-most important game in
European football, it should be
played with the best players.
'But the rules are there, everybody
knows the rules from the first match
so we can't complain.'

Inter millan vs Harambee Stars, 25th May 2014.

15- A team of Inter Milan legends starring
Italy 2006 World Cup winning star defender,
Marco Materazzi and Kenya midfielder,
MacDonald Mariga, will take on national team
Harambee Stars in a planned friendly on May
25.
Confirming the development on Tuesday,
Archimede Pitrolo, the Italian federation FIGC
vice-president, said the Nerazzuri side to
feature against Stars will also contain members
of the 2010 treble winners who will not make
the country’s squad for Brazil 2014 World Cup
with retired Honduran striker, David Suazo, who
scored 100 goals in 300 appearances in Serie A
among those who could play in the fixture.
“I confirm that we have made arrangements for
Inter Milan legends and those players who will
not make it to the Italian national team for the
World Cup, will be in Kenya to play in the
friendly match that will see Mariga play for us
(Inter).
“I think this will be a good exposure for the
Kenyan players who will learn a lot from the
legends,” the football boss stated.
Under current English Premier League titans
Chelsea FC coach, Jose Mourinho, Inter won the
Scudetto, Copa Italia and UEFA Champions
League with Materazzi and Mariga who
returned to the national team after a two year
absence in the aborted friendly against Sudan
in late February part of the squad.
The heavily tattooed Materazzi earned
international infamy at the final of the 2006
World Cup when his insult directed at France
legend, Zinedine Zidane, earned the icon a red
card after he head butted the defender as the
Azzurri went on to lift the title on penalties.
Inter are currently chasing to seal qualification
to next season’s Europa League and are sitting
fifth in Serie A on 53 points, 14 points behind
Napoli who are holding the last Champions
League place in third.
The Italian giants have already signed
Manchester United captain, Nemanja Vidic and
are eyeing his team mate, Patrice Evra and
Chelsea striker Fernando Torres for next season.

HOW NIGERIA BECAME NO.1 COUNTRY WITH BEST ECONOMY IN AFRICA ON 9th APRIL 2014

Crude oil spills from a pipeline
in northwestern Nigeria (Reuters/
Afolabi Sotunde)
Something strange happened in
Nigeria on Sunday: The economy
nearly doubled, racking up
hundreds of billions of dollars,
ballooning to the size of the
Polish and Belgian economies,
and breezing by the South
African economy to become
Africa's largest. As days go, it
was a good one.
It was, in fact, a miracle borne
of statistics: It had been 24
years since Nigerian authorities
last updated their approach to
calculating gross domestic
product (GDP), a process known
as "rebasing" that wealthy
countries typically carry out
every five years. When the
Nigerian government finally did
it this week, the country's GDP—
the market value of all finished
goods and services produced in a
country—soared to $510 billion.
To celebrate the occasion,
Nigeria's National Bureau of
Statistics released a pretty
entertaining PowerPoint
presentation—an admixture of
sober economic pronouncements
and clip art. It includes this
depiction of the long road to
$510 billion:
National Bureau of Statistics
Nigeria's overnight
transformation raises two
distinct but interconnected
questions. First: What do we
miss about countries when we
don't have accurate economic
data about them—and what are
the practical implications of that
blindness?
In computing its GDP all these
years, Nigeria, incredibly, wasn't
factoring in booming sectors like
film and telecommunications.
The Nigerian movie industry,
Nollywood , generates nearly
$600 million a year and employs
more than a million people,
making it the country's second-
largest employer after
agriculture. As for the telecom
industry, consider that there are
now some 120 million mobile-
phone subscribers in Nigeria,
out of a population of 170
million. Nigeria and South Africa
are the largest mobile markets
in sub-Saharan Africa, and cell-
phone use has been exploding in
the country:
Nigerian Communications

Incorporating the film and
telecom industries into Nigeria's
GDP made a huge difference in
the services sector, rendering
the country's economy not just
bigger but more diversified.

Arsenal Latest News, 9th April 2014

Arsenal are ready to sell four senior
squad players this summer with
Olivier Giroud, Lukas Podolski,
Thomas Vermaelen and Nacho
Monreal all tipped to make moves at
the end of the season.
It’s gearing up to be a frantic
summer of transfer activity at the
Emirates with the club having
around £100m to spend on new
talent, and it seems the coffers
could be further boosted by the sale
of some valuable assets.
Reports say that striker Olivier Giroud upset Arsene
Wenger following allegations that he
invited a model to his hotel room
the night before our game with
Crystal Palace earlier in the season,
and the boss is now supposedly
ready to listen to offers for the 27-
year-old.
I’m not sure how much I buy into
this, as Arsene has been a huge
advocate of Giroud’s and clearly
rates him as he choose to go the
entire season with him as our only
‘proper’ striker. I’m sure he was
disappointed by Giroud’s actions,
and he showed it by dropping him
for a couple of key games when the
news broke about him hooking up
with the model, but I’m not
convinced the player will be sold as
a result.
However, the reports seem confident
the former Montpellier man is on
the market and could be joined out
the exit door by fellow forward Lukas
Podolski. This one isn’t such a
surprise as it’s widely expected that
the German will leave this summer
after a difficult season that’s seen
him regularly left out of the team.
I will be sad to see him go if he
does end up leaving, as I still feel
he’s a valuable member of the
squad who gives us a real threat in
attack, but he’s at an age when he
needs to be playing regularly and
I’m not sure he’ll get that next
season with us.
Thomas Vermaelen is another player
who’s likely to be off after losing his
place in the starting eleven, and it’s
going to be a difficult task to find
someone as accomplished as the
Belgian to be our third-choice
centre-back next season.
The final player reports claim will
leave this summer is surprisingly
left-back Nacho Monreal. Latest news suggests the Spaniard is
growing frustrated at playing second-
fiddle to Kieran Gibbs and could
push for a move at the end of the
season.
I’d be hugely surprised if this was to
happen as Nacho seems fairly
content at the club and we’ve not
heard a word from him moaning
about a lack of playing time or
anything like that, but we’ll have to
see what happens in the summer.
With Lukasz Fabianski, Emiliano
Viviano, Bacary Sagna (possibly) and
Nicklas Bendtner also set to leave
this summer, it looks like the squad
overhaul is going to be pretty drastic
this summer. I’m sure much will
hinge on whether Arsene stays or
goes as well, and the sooner that
situation is resolved the better for
everyone.

Churchill Becomes 1stKenyan Individual ToReach 1 MillionFacebook Likes

9 April 2014
Daniel Ndambuki, better known as
Churchill, yesterday became the
first Kenyan individual to reach 1
million likes on Facebook.
His page is actually the third
Kenyan owned to achieve such
heights, but the other two are
media organizations.  KTN achieved
this milestone on November 23rd
last year and now has 1.1 million
likes.
NTV followed suit last week, and by
the looks of things, Churchill will
soon overtake them.
President Uhuru is still fourth, with
likes standing at 924,000 at the
time of this writing. Citizen TV
completes the top 5 with 894,000.
Despite reports that Facebook use
is on the decline, the likes keep on
coming.

bedroom apartment.
Theirs was love brewed in
an African pot.
Then one evening he asked
her to take a Morning After
Pill and leave. Another
woman was coming.
I am a single mother of
two. I have struggled to
raise my
children.
My daughter Anne Wangui is
only 23 years old. I washed
other women’s inner clothes
to raise money to educate
Anne. Women younger than
me! I weeded other people’s
shambas to feed my
children.
I have been a house-help,
cooking food my children
have never tasted, or food
we only eat on Christmas
Day.
So when my daughter got a
job in a hotel as a
receptionist, I went to
church and thanked God. My
prayers had been answered.
She was earning Sh13,000
but being a selfless girl,
she sent a big share to pay
for
her sister’s education,
supplementing what I got.
She never bought fancy
clothes or partied because
she
was always broke while
supporting her younger
sister.
When she told me she had
met a man she loved, I
didn’t
need to tell her to be
cautious. She was born
cautious.
After three months of
dating the man, she called
and
told me to get ready, since
her boyfriend was coming to
see me. She said he was a
farmer. That man, Anthony
Mutahi Kimaru, came to my
humble house.
I welcomed him and he asked
for my daughter’s hand in
marriage. I blessed them.
Mutahi told me that since I
was
still living in my parents’
home, my daughter could not
just get married until my
dowry was paid.
He gave me Sh70,000 to sort
out that tradition so that
he
could be allowed culturally
to marry my daughter. He
later strolled out of the
house and went round it and
asked me to measure where
he could construct a three-
bedroom house for us.
He even offered and
transferred my youngest
daughter to
a better school. He chose
Moi Girls Nanyuki and paid
the fees for Term One.
Which parent would refuse
to
have their child go to a
good school? Which mother-
in-
law can refuse such a
generous and thoughtful son-
in-
law? I didn’t ask for
anything but he offered all
he saw
that I lacked.
By July last year, my
daughter told me that
Mutahi had
told her to quit her job.
He wanted her to go to
college.
He also wanted her to move
in with him. My daughter
said she had refused to
move in until he showed her
proof that he was indeed
divorced from his first
wife. She
wanted to know if she had
done the right thing. I
told
her, yes, it’s good to know
that you aren’t breaking
another woman’s home.
Mutahi then sought to
finalise his divorce and my
daughter moved in with him
when he finally showed her
the divorce decree.
But on the night of Friday
14 March at 10pm, my
daughter called me. She was
crying. Mutahi had told her
to leave his house. He had
ganged up with his mother
and sister, and wanted to
kick-out my daughter. After
going to all lengths to
convince her to move in
with
him, a few months later, he
kicked her out in the
night.
He had his fun, and now
wanted to bring in another
woman.
I am a mother, what pains
me most is that my daughter
will never trust another
man. Will my daughter be a
single mother like I am? I
want her to get married one
day, but she will never
give her whole heart to a
man.
She will always hold back.
What Mutahi did to her is
ungodly. You don’t play
around with people like
this;
change their lives, just to
have fun with a girl then
throw
her out when you have had
your fill.
What will happen to my
younger daughter who is to
come home this week for
holidays? How do I tell her
that she won’t go back to
school in second term? What
will happen to my daughter
Anne? She quit her job to
go
to college, but the man she
called her husband
apparently now wants a new
woman. I leave it all to
God.
Mutahi had come home, and
seen that we lived in
poverty. He knows there is
nothing I can do to him. I
pray that my daughter will
get another job so she can
support her sister and that
the Lord’s Will be done.

Terrorists target Mombasa Airport:

The Al-Shabaab had planned to hit three major installations in Mombasa in a “sequenced and near-simultaneous attacks” targeting hundreds of innocent civilians.
The attacks would have been carried out using vehicle–borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs), according to crucial intelligence information obtained by the Daily Nation.
The planned attacks were “very ambitious” and would have been the worst in Kenya’s history had they succeeded — probably far worse than the 1998 US Embassy bombing and Westgate, Kenyan security sources close to the investigation said.
The first installation to be hit would have been Moi International Airport. The plan was to storm the airport security gates shortly before 2 am with a suicide commando team before detonating a vehicle packed with high-grade plastic explosives at the International Arrivals Terminal.
 Mombasa Airpot

The terrorists’ intended target was a group of foreign nationals, estimated to be over 300, on board two early morning international flights and who would have been at the arrival lounge at that particular time.
The second target was a ferry plying the narrow Likoni water channel linking Mombasa Island with the South Coast mainland.
“The plan was to detonate a 4X4 packed with explosives by remote control as the ferry was mid channel. The attack was timed to coincide with the early morning rush hour when the ferry would normally have been packed with close to 3,000 people.
It is believed the Toyota four-wheel-drive vehicle that was found with explosives at the Changamwe police station on March 18 was marked for the ferry hit.
The third target was the Nakumatt Likoni branch located only a short distance from the ferry ramp on the island side. This attack was designed to occur simultaneously with the one on the ferry.
“If you can synchronise two attacks well, you maximise the impact. The ferry and the supermarket hits were primarily designed to sow fear among Kenyans; whereas the airport attack was targeting Westerners,” one of the sources noted.
The whereabouts of the other two vehicle bombs remain a mystery. Sources suggest it is plausible they may have since been dismantled and the explosives “carted away to other locations”.

Korazon Kwamboka’s Miracle transformation: The power of make up

I was just reading how Corazon Kwamboka is a model and not a socialite.. Honestly speaking, the line is blurry especially in Nairobi. One moment you’re on Tujuane, the next you are on a music video and soon enough, we have a nude photo. It appears it’s the easiest career to get into. I mean, all you need is to have Daily Post write your story. We rarely write about the socialites, but Corazon Kwamboka has been generating some waves.I happened to bump into this picture of the lawyer with just a little make up, no studio light and obviously no photoshop.
There’s quite some difference I must say.

Lily Corazon Unleashes New S£XIER PHOTOS

Nairobi’s newest socialite Corazon Kwamboka is not keen on covering those curves. Following a few weeks of silence, she has unleashed a new set of pictures, which many would say are a little more decent that her previous ones.
No nudes yet, so I can comfortably say so far so good.
Check her out.

Joji Baro (Gospel Singer) Denied USA Visa for being HIV +

Joji Baro is a man who has received one knock after another. He has had a tough time ever since revealing that he is a homosexual with jabs and insults being thrown his way. Then he revealed that he is HIV positive and everyone and their fathers wanted to stone the lad. Now he has yet another institution push him down. Sad indeed.Earlier today, I came across this post from him:

Joji Baro
It’s done. It’s sealed. You could have seen how I was treated like a criminal at the US embassy Yesterday when I went to find out why is my visa is taking longer to be ready. Eventually, I left there without an answer. The lady on customer care rudely answered my call but gave no straight answer. Meanwhile I have been duped three folds of Ksh. 50,000/- by someone who booked my appointment.
Just like that. And now am yet to come to terms with being blacklisted for being HIV+. I never knew the ban had been lifted as people say. All I know for a fact, am blacklisted on that ground. The forces behind it is a powerful political family. I don’t know whether am sad or scared. Am just confused. Been sleeping since Yesterday lunch hour. I was supposed to leave Today for Dallas ahead of my perfomance at the Pride Pool Party in Texas on 21st. All this is too much…can’t handle it. Can’t take it anymore

makaburi
“I asked Makabaru whether he feared facing the same fate as Rogo & Fazul, he said ‘I long for it. I want the death of a Shahid. I pray for it.”
He had however told him that he was not a member of any terrorist outfit.
makaburi shot
“Makaburi told me he was innocent and denied ever being involved with Al Shabaab or any terror group.”
In October 2013 the slain Sheikh had apparently told Reuters that he knew he’ll be killed
“I know I will be killed,” Makaburi told Reuters, saying the police would seek ways to justify shooting him. “I’m ready to die for it. If they want to or if they don’t, they will give me martyrdom.”

Vera Sidika Blasts Caroline Mutoko’s Big Breakfast Show

Following the recent reports that Vera Sidika was booted out of KTN’s yet to be aired show, Vera Sidika has become the trending story in town and she was the main topic of discussion at KISS 100′s breakfast show. This did not go down well with the bootylicious socialite prompting her to lodge an attack at the show for running a story without consulting her.
The reasons of losing her (yet to start) job, which she had termed a ‘dream come true’, remains unknown but according to reports it was because of her diva demands which did not go down well with the show’s producers.
The Big Breakfast show hosted by the outspoken Caroline Mutoko and her co host Linda Nyangweso aired their opinions on the whole issue at the expense of a furious Vera Sidika.
Here’s what she had to say on her Facebook page
Kiss breakfast running a story of me having diva demands. What happened to good old journalism, call me and get the facts right instead of making assumptions.
